August 9, 2008 -- Today, the Blue Eagles got their revenge from the team who gave them their first loss from this season. The Eagles won their first 2nd round elimination game from the Tamarraws, and still occupy the solo lead with 7-1 (W-L) ranking.
The both teams gave a very impressive game. At the 1st half of the game it was the Tamarraws who lead. FEU threw a few perimeter shots and aggressive drives to the basket that let them dominate the 1st few minutes of the 1st half. They didn't let the Eagles to take over the lead. Yet, the Eagles were striving harder and harder as the time goes. The fouls gave by FEU let the Eagles to be left only by 2 points. It may also give them motivation that they can come back. Until before the 2nd quarter ended, the Blue Eagles tied the the game with only more than 30 seconds left. The first attempt of the Eagles to get the lead was not successful but still they got the offensive rebound. It was only about the last 22 seconds of the 1st half and the ball was in the hands of "The Clutch", Chris Tiu. He sets a play that seems familiar :D. Chris Tiu pass the ball to Jai Reyes and he threw a big 3-pointer just like in their game against the UST Growling Tigers. That was one of the many highlights from the game. It's actually a breath taking one. A very nice play. The both of them
(Chris Tiu and Jai Reyes) should get the credit for that.
When the game enters the 2nd half, it seems that there are new Eagles playing against FEU. All of them were playing great. Even the guys from the bench were offering a very nice perfomance. But it was truly Chris Tiu, Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Ryan Buenafe and Eric Salamat who gave such an exceptional game. In fact in the 4th quarter of the game, Ateneo became more aggressive in their defense and of course also to their offense. Chris Tiu gave a few 3-pointers and a great basket drives same with Eric Salamat. Ryan Buenafe and Rabeh Al-Hussaini also showed a terrific domination under the basket. It was very entertaining. And of course the ATENEO BLUE EAGLES won the game.Still all I can say: There is still one color to celebrate now and that's BLUE!!!
ANIMO ATENEO!!!
ANIMO BLUE EAGLES!!!
ONE BIG FIGHT!!!
Samsung Player of the Game:
Chris Tiu
16pts., 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal
PSBank Maaasahang Player and Champ Player:

Multiply -- A Social Networking Website...
On June 16, 2008 -- I've been a "multiply" user for almost 2 months now. Actually, signing up for this site is really easy. For you to have an account you only need to follow a few steps and then you will have your own "multiply site". Being a "multiply" user is in fact very convenient. It's because you will be constantly updated about what's new about your friends, relatives, classmates, online buddies, and other contacts you have. You will also recieve some online auctions or special offers that you can avail in a very cheap amount. It's actually fun being in this site.
For a few months that I have my multiply account, I found some of my old friends and my old classmates. And now for short period of time I collected about 40 contacts. In fact, some of them..,I really don't know personally but despite of that I realize that you can really find new friends even it is only through online. I also have contacts who are a famous ADMU Basketball player.(players -- who really I adore/UAAP Team -- which I really adore...) I never expected to find some people with same interest and to know (through social networking) people who like or love somethings and some outstanding people who I truly look forward to. I really do hope to find more friends through "multiply's site".
Another good thing in this social networking site is there are less users who are actually only a poser, unlike in other networking sites. As in when you search someone it will give you more than a hundred result. Just like for "Chris Tiu", try to type his name in the search engine of f********* and for sure you'll get more than a hundred list of account under his name. Hmmm, is that sounds familiar. Well, it always happen. Though, we can't really disregard the fact that there are still some posers in this site yet they are very limited.
To make this clear I am not against or trying to give bad impressions to other Social Networking Websites. I just want to give special credit to "MULTIPLY". http://multiply.com/

PRELIMS 101
On July 23, 2008 -- This is the first day of our,BSN 1y1-2, Prelim Examination. Some of the students(in different year levels and courses)will start taking it tomorrow. Lucky me...I can have a much longer span of time to review than the others. It will last until July 26(saturday). I hope I can answer all the questions in our exams. It is actually a 120 item exam each in all subjects. I don't have any idea if it is a shorter or a longer one than the exams given to the other universities in town. The only thing I know is I need to present good grades to my mom and to my elder sister. It is because I know they deserve that very much. I am really hoping to do very well on my exams. I know I'm kinda sound redundant for all the hope to get a high grade but that's really i what i wanted.
Everyday, starting on wednesday we will take two(2) exams a day from 8:00am-11:15am only. Yeah...It is only a short period. Well, actually there is an exam which I'm really anxious to take, and that is undoubtedly Mathematics(huhuhu...). I can actually manage to have at least a grade of 85 in that subject and sometimes higher than that. But still, that subject is my weakest. I'm really really hoping to get at least an average of 85 for that particular exam. I really do!!! On the other hand, I think I'm doing a pretty good job in my other subjects(not being boastful) but I think so. (e.g: Psychology,Theoretical Foundations of Nrsg.,English, P.E, Chemistry Lab. and Lec.,Filipino and Anatomy).
So good luck to everybody who will take or taking their prelim exams, not only to the students in our university but all the students in all different universities in the country.

For the 4th Straight Win -- ANIMO ADMU!!!
On July 19, 2008 -- Ateneo De Manila University won their 4th win. They are now having the solo top spot for UAAP Season 71 men's basketball team. They are the only team who is undefeated in this season(and i hope it will continue until the end).
This game against UP is a pretty tough one. It ended at 83-66 in favor of ADMU. It was a big 17-point lead but then I can say that UP did a pretty good game yet not enough. UP fought with full courage until the end and i think they deserve an acknowledgement for that. It's actually always a run for Ateneo yet UP just kept on coming back with a few burst. It was not until the last 2 minutes of the game.
I can say that it is a big help that Ateneo has a full of talented roster. Coach Norman Black can get a big player whenever he wanted(a very deep bench, I would say!). Having rookies, who play like veterans, plus a great(way)veteran players who can actually cope to be a very tough inside the court. In particular to Chris Tiu, Nonoy Baclao, Jai Reyes, Eric Salamat, Yuri Escueta, Rabeh Al-Hussaini and more. I truly believe that Ateneo has the deepest set of bench players in UAAP, if we compare it to the other teams in the league. I should say that ADMU is now the toughest team in this league in this day and age. Well, actually that game was pretty composed for ADMU. Officiating of the game was better than the usual(probably because of the suspension given to one of the referees...LOL!!! :D).
A celebration for the 4th winning streak of the Eagles is definitely on. And the only dominating color and the color to celebrate right now is still BLUE.
ANIMO ATENEO!!!

A Win Against the Falcons----ANIMO ATENEO!!!
Another late entry from me... :D
On July 10,2008(Thursday)-- After losing from Adamson in the FOPT, the eagles have their win against them. Actually, Adamson has improved significantly despite of having a young line up. They executed a good defense and the half-court pressure. But still Ateneo didn't take them for granted. As what I've watched I believed that the players of Ateneo execute a good game plan, not only offensively but also on their defense.Overall, blue eagles had a bit unaccustomed start caused by a few turnovers and missed open shots. Falcons stayed close because of their tight defense and 2nd chance points. Nevertheless, towards the end the eagles' shots start to fall in the right path and even their defense followed. In the 2nd half, the eagles start doing 2-3 zone which the falcons weren't able to adjust. Probably because of their lack of consistent outside shooters.
In the 1st half, Chris Tiu didn't make a very good start, actually. He missed a lot of open-outside shots and also missed two free throws(quite not like the typical Chris Tiu...huh!) He ended it with only 2-points. I know it is quite disappointing. However, in the 2nd half he started to overcome his bad start. His shots started to fall greatly. Fortunately, the other guys also contributed offensively and defensively. Jai Reyes was aggressively took outside shots with no turnovers(I guess). Eric Salamat and Ryan Buenafe helped also in scoring. Jobe Nkemakolam also gave 12 big rebounds for the team. Nonoy Baclao was very steady on the defensive end, blocks and in changing shots. He also brought some points and amazingly he was not in foul trouble that game. With Chris Tiu ended the 2nd half with big 10 points. And ADMU finished the game with 72-45 in the score board.
I hope that Ateneo's winning streak will continue up to the finals.
Best Player/Champ Player of the game: Chris Tiu -- 12 points(10pts. in the 2nd half), 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal
PSB Maaasahang Player: Nonoy Baclao
Later, ADMU Blue Eagles will face UE Red Warriors. I hope that Ateneo will get their 3rd win.

UAAP Season 71: Blue Eagles vs. Green Archers
I know this entry is quite late but still let's talk about it.
On July 6,2008 -- The very famous school rivalry face each other again, Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles and De La Salle University Green Archers. I can say that this is one of the hottest ball game right this moment for the season 71.
The Coach/es of the Green Archers received a technical foul from a referee for not wearing their I.D. So the Blue Eagles were given a chance to took a technical free throw which is executed very well by Chris Tiu. The 1st half was kind of the typical UAAP Classic, but the crunch began for the both teams in the latter part. Some people say that the victory of the eagles was pure luck. Well, I say NO!!! Though Ateneo might have the luck and luck might be needed sometimes, still they have the guts to really win this thing. It's not the fault of being lucky or unlucky if you cannot shoot the ball precisely in the net especially from the free throw line. Being consistent from the line was the key(I think...). And of course the distribution of points and the execution of the play. Ateneo endee the 3rd Quarter with a spark, which flame then has been extinguished in the 4th and final quarter, for a technical foul called on their coach.
I admit, that game was a really nervy one. With all the new faces and some other good players not sighted for the Ateneo Team. But come to think of it, the team Ateneo still have their captain,Chris Tiu, who is very consistent from the free throw line which killed the Green Archers. And like what I mentioned earlier, the point distribution was really a big deal. And well, everyone has done their part. Special mention for K. Long, R. Buenafe and E. Salamat who in fact did helped out in the closing quarters. For Chris Tiu, we all know that he is one of the best players not only in their team but also in UAAP. If only he will be more consistent to his outside shooting, I see a very big problem for the other teams, and for the next time these two rivals meet....a very big problem for the defending champions.
Shooting consistently from the start towards the end was a really awesome performance from Tiu, being the captain and having 22,000++ people in attendance, not to mention those who were watching on their t.v sets, he might felt some kind of a pressure.
But still, there's only one color to celebrate for now, and that's BLUE!!!

I Don't Want To Be by: Gavin DeGraw (OST of One Tree Hill)

I don't need to be anything other than a prison guard's son
I don't need to be anything other than a specialist's son
I don't have to be anyone other than a birth of two souls in one
Part of where I'm going is knowing where I'm coming from
Chorus:
I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think of me and I have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms
Wondering what I gotta do
Or who I'm supposed to be
I don't want to be anything other than me
I'm surrounded by liars everywhere
I turn I'm surrounded by imposters everywhere
I turn I'm surrounded by a deadly crisis everywhere
I turn Am I the only one to notice?
I can't be the only one who's learned
Chorus:
I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think about me and I have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms
Wondering what I gotta do
Or who I'm supposed to be
I don't want to be anything other than me
Can I have everyone's attention please
See, not like this and that
You're gonna have to leave
I came from the mountain, the crust of creation
My whole situation made from clay, dust, stone
And now I'm telling everybody
Chorus:
I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately
All I have to do is think of me and I have peace of mind
I'm tired of looking 'round rooms
Wondering what I'm trying to do
